For China, Jahmar, and their three kids, the dining room is the heart of their home. It’s where they eat, play, work, and hang out. To put an end to China’s stress and back pain, the Squad added a BJURSTA bar table and matching BERNHARD bar stools to the dining room. Now, China has a back-friendly area for mixing and sorting ingredients which doubles as extra seating space for guests. To help the whole family navigate the dining room while eating, working, or creating art, the IKEA Home Tour Squad installed two NYMÖ hanging lamp shades at the existing extendable BJURSTA dining table, along with additional lamps throughout the room. To bring in elements of each family member’s personality and style, the Squad created a gallery wall using LACK wall shelves and picture ledges to display artwork and photographs. China’s workspace also received an upgrade with a sleek and spacious MALM desk, pulling in a VOLFGANG chair from the dining table to tie it all together!
