We love the black and white trend we’re seeing in little boys’ rooms. It’s so simple and chic, with bold contrast that really works in a boy’s nursery or playroom.

First we have a black and white nursery for baby Finn. Mom Allyssa describes the decor as boyish yet fun and vibrant. The wallpaper from Ferm Living is a style standout, as are the wolf bookends, the replica Eames rocker and Z Gallerie’s moose head wall accessory.
Next, check out this room for big boys Hugh and Charles. Their mom Belinda is an interior designer who had seen black and white trending and wanted to try the color scheme in her own home. The result is a stylish bedroom that doesn’t follow traditional kids’ room decor standards. It’s fun and clean, and we love the custom blankets.

Thank you to both moms, Allyssa and Belinda, for sharing your designs!

Project Nursery is all about showing real parents how to take charge of their own design and decorating projects. In the spring of 2008, moms, business partners and design enthusiasts Melisa Fluhr and Pamela Ginocchio started ProjectNursery.com. Since then, the site has evolved into a leading resource dedicated to baby’s 1st room & beyond.
