Sometimes having the same room decor for long periods of time can be draining without even realizing it. So changing things up a bit can be very rejuvenating for your mental health. So, in this video, we wanted to share with you some amazing decoration ideas and crafts to do to renew your home and give some sparkle on your everyday items. The most fun part about this video is that everything we show you is made out of foam. So that you’ll get some inspiration and re-use your foamy items.
Foam paper is an amazing material to work with when you are doing crafts, and it is really easy to mold into pretty much everything. We wanted to help you create an awesome plant pot which you can place on your desk so that you can give your workstation area some color. First, you take a yellow square piece of foam paper and cut it into a round floral shape as the base. Then, you take the same color paper and cut it into a rectangle (in an angle) and add some glue on the sides and at the bottom; you glue it then in the middle of the round floral shape you just created. After that, you take a long stripe of yellow foam paper and roll it two opposite directions. (that would be the coffee mugs handle) and stick it on the side of your coffee mug. Now it’s time to decorate it with some roses. Cut a spiral floral shape as we show in the video roll it tightly together to create a rose. Cut two green leafy shapes that will serve as the leaves of the rose and voila. You can add two roses like we did or you can add more using different colors as well. If you are looking for the perfect cutest bookmark out there but you can’t find one that you like, why not create your own using foram paper and a wooden stick. Firstly, take a wooden craft’s stick and paint it pink. Then, take some foam paper and cut it into two-star shape and stick them on the top of the stick (front and back side). Then, take lighter color pink paper and create two smaller star shapes and stick them on top of the darker pink stars that you cut earlier. Decorate them with your some sharpie and there you have it. An amazing girly bookmark.
If you have an old yoga matt laying around. You can cut it and use it all around your house. You can create a square mouse pad with it and a lovely protective laptop case. In addition to that, you can create many coasters for your coffee table.
Did you know that you can create amazing patterns using shaving foam and food coloring? You can use them as backgrounds for your paintings, or you can use them to decorate your Christmas cards as well. It is very easy to do it as well. First, you lay some greaseproof paper on your surface to prevent the shaving foam from seeping through. Then, you add some shaving foam on the greaseproof paper and distribute it using a spatula as we demonstrate in the video. After that, you add a few drops of the food coloring of your choice and mix it slightly using a crafts stick. Finally, you place your paper on top and let it sit there for two seconds; you then carefully lift it and remove the excess foam using a ruler and voila. You can use this method to also decorate your sketchbook, or bullet journal pages if you are a beginner with abstract patterns or even decorate your walls.
